Welcome to Nanaimo’s LGBTIQ2+ AVIVA CHORUS Community Choir
If you’re looking to sing your favourite song among new friends, do the occasional public concert and general just have a lot of fun, then you’ve found the right choir! We encourage all singing abilities to come out and sing with us! It’s guaranteed to be a good time for all!
We meet every TUESDAY evening from 7:00 – 9:00pm

AVIVA Chorus kick starting their Pride tour. What an amazing concert in Victoria, followed by an outstanding Concert for our practice space, Pacific Gardens Co-Housing, then we fly and drive on an adventure to Calgary’s Unison Festival of LGBTQ Choirs from across Canada. After Calgary we are back to kick off Nanaimo’s Pride Flag Raising, June 6 at 6 at City Hall. May your voices always be with you over the rainbow and through the storm.

The AVIVA Chorus, is a non for profit registered charity, we relay solely on the generosity of people like you. Should you feel inclined to donate to our wonderful chorus by means of a cash donation, volunteering, filling our seats with your presence or by joining our diverse and talented chorus, your help is greatly appreciated. Any donations over 20$ will receive a tax receipt. Our charity of choice this year is Generation Q. They are an amazing group that provides a safe space for Nanaimo’s LGBTIQ2+ Youth community.

Holly Smith is a fundamental part of AVIVA Chorus. She is responsible for on boarding all members and building key relationships with external stakeholders.
Duffy Fish is a critical part of AVIVA Chorus. She is responsible for ensuring all of our numbers add up and our monies are properly distributed each year.
Corinne Devison is a brilliant asset to AVIVA Chorus. She is responsible for making sure that our choir is represented in our community.
